ok, my sisters and i have been making soap for about 8 years now, we always use the same recipe. make a long story short, yesterday we mistakenly only used like half the amount of lye than we usually do, and that the recipe calls for. (we thought it was odd that the lye, which usually takes a while to cool down, seemed to cool down in no time at all!) after we mixed the lye and oil mixture, that's when we discovered that we used the wrong amount. anyways, the soap did saponify, and i just cut it, and it looks normal! i'm no expert but i really thought it wouldn't even harden up. does anyone know if this soap will be normal? obviously i'm thinking it won't be dangerous... there's not enough lye, but any other concerns i should have?
