Can someone please tell me what is the best way to get transparent soap? I made some clear soap and it has a yellow look to it. :roll:

You can add a tiny bit of blue colorant to the soap to make it more blue/clear than yellow.

Did you make this or buy the soap?

I bought it and I was trying to make it as clear as possible but when I added the fragrance it turned more yellow. :roll:

Was the fragrance oil yellow? Does it have vanilla in it? Both of these will cause problems. If you want your soap to say clear you have to use FO's that are water clean - but even then some will still turn the soap more yellow - you will just have to test each one to see.

Also be sure when melting, assuming you use a microwave, to only use short 30 second or less bursts. The Melt and Pour soap can be burnt and then will also discolor and have an odd odor.

I recommend TKBTrading "Blessing Blue" for the use of the colorant for the blueing affect. I've had great success lately!!
