Teach Soap

So while browsing BB late at night, I decided I would buy some sal butter, along with the shea butter I ordered. Now that it has arrived, I'm wondering what to do with it. I don't think I want to put it in my MP soap (it might make it softer, which is the opposite of what I want to do) so I'm thinking perhaps I should add it to the BB lotion base or BB body butter base? Or maybe in BB liquid soap base? Although I can't imagine it would incorporate well...has anyone else used Sal Butter before? If so, what have you used it in? Any help would be appreciated...I have a pound of the crumbly stuff!

Make a whipped butter out of it with some nice liquid oils and maybe some essential oils.

thanks soapbuddy, I will give it a try! Do you think Olive Oil would work with this, or more like coconut oil or something? Off to shop at BB I go

Olive oil is pretty heavy. I would try almond, jojoba or fractionated coconut oil.

thanks soapbuddy! good thing I didn't check out yet. I'll pick up some of those oils. This sal butter is really crumbly..it makes me nervous, like it's going to fly out of the blender if I use one! hmm..perhaps I should hand blend first...

oh, I didn't even think of trying to heat it up...good idea! How much of the almond or coconut oil should I start with? I've never worked with any kind of butter before, so I'm not sure what to expect. I found a recipe on BB for whipped shea butter, but this one seems a lot drier than the shea butter.
