can i use EO like oreng,limon,peppermint as flvor oil in lip balm?

If you are in the US, use FCC grade. If you're not, then I don't know. Do you know who distilled your essential oils? Are you sure about the purity?

It's Food Chemical Codex (FCC), making them “food grade”. Essential oils in compliance with these standards can be the same essential oils used in aromatherapy as long as they are pure, unadulterated and complete oils.

I would be kind of leery about using essential oils, if you're not sure of the quality/origin, etc. I use only flavor oils in mine.

I use EO in my lip butter, but I make sure they are pure. I have used sweet orange and it came out great.

Thanks for the tip. I use a very small amount mixed with honey. The sweet orange is strong so just a few drops goes a long way.

Diana,

Brambleberry has a folded orange that doesn't cause photosensitivity. I question a lot of the information about eo's from the aromatherapy field when crossing over with it to bath and body products. I'm not clear how it pertains to bath and body products where it isn't used in therapeutic levels like it is in aromatherapy. But anyhoo, BB has an orange eo from which the components that cause photosensitivy have been removed. I just ordered some. It's pretty reasonably priced.
