Sasha is great! Love it!
My hubby is from Ukraine, moved here with his family when he was 9. His brother Aleksandr goes by Sasha (just with family tho as it is usually a girls name here)

I have 2 German Shepherds too...Names are Grace & Jacob...Love my Shepherds!! Such a wonderful and loyal breed!!

I would love to know a really good Doggie Shampoo bar recipe too...

We really like weird names for animals. My one cat is Ozzy (and I'm Sharon) like Ozzy Osbourne. The cat that we just took in, we named her Trogdor (google "Trogdor the Burninator). Here are some unique ones that aren't TOO weird..

Edited to add: Oops! Too late. I like Sasha! Also, when doing the ACV, I think the smell dissipates quicker if you use a spray bottle to mist her skin.

I agree with the omega 3 suggestion. We had a rescue dog with dreadful skin. The vet suggested some brand name pet care oil, which cost an arm and a leg. I discovered linseed oil at the health food shop, which works just as well. After a few months, she was OK, and haven't had to use it again. Good luck with her skin, and chewing habit.

I love shepherds, but we don't own one "yet"... my husband is dying to get a dog but I want to wait until I am not in school and can dedicate more of my life to caring for a new family member. I LOVE the name you chose for your new member, and what BEAUTIFUL shepherds you have Obviously, you have a good heart too

I love the name Sasha! That was the name of one of my Siberian Huskies.
Thank you for rescuing the little sweetheart! I do animal rescue too and it breaks my heart that people are cruel enough to dump animals. I bet after a couple of weeks on some good food her skin and coat will be shiny and beautiful again. Just FYI, Eukanuba/Iams does cruel animal testing so I stay away from those brands.

Thanks for that info, wildambrosia. I don't use those brands, but certainly won't be tempted in the future. It's so ironic, isn't it? It's obviously all about the almighty dollar, and not about the welfare of the animals. GRRRRRR!!!!
