Teach Soap

I am not a native English speaker so I hope my English is good enough to make everybody understand. I bought a frog eraser from Bramble Berry and tried to make an embedded MP soap. However, the frog was very slippy to dip into the soap and it is also difficult to level the frog (the head is floating up). The soap looks foggy and not clear enough to see the frog. Can anyone tell me what techniques involved? Many thanks! By the way, I love this forum very much as I can learn about skincare and soap making skills here...

Funny...that happened to me an hour ago...it was clear til I put it in the fridge.....for 10 min...as I always do.....so I am assuming it was that...but I will try it again tomorrow....Did you put yours in the fridge...?

BUT....I was also wondering ...since my embeds were soap seashells..maybe I poured too hot and they clouded mine....

It's helped me with learning how to embed objects in soap.

As for the clouding, it could be the fragrance oil you've used. I've noticed that some FO's make clear soap cloudy.

debb - yes, I did put in the fridge...
meeshee - yes, I watched the video before I made the soap. I used EO not FO...might be the EO also causes cloudy problem?

That's a GREAT video. I learned by trial and error that it's best to do a clear layer first, set my embed in that and let it set up, and then pour the main, colored layer.

I generally don't even fragrance that first layer, as that can make it go cloudy or yellow.
