I'm wondering if these Cracker Barrel soaps are really handmade, or made in China, and what the ingredient list looks like. Since I'm not in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming or N or S Dakota where I know there are Cracker Barrel Restaurants, would some one take a look? TIA

Thank you for the nice compliment SueBre. I learned to write English before learing to speak so I enjoy practicing when I can. Contemporary writing is a bit more enjoyable than technical writing. It's just fun for me....like making soap.

as long as it is not printed you really can't get in trouble.. however i am super careful and make funny names with my soap insead like make my skin younger, and put on the label it has oils that have been used for years to reduce age, acne, whatever... i dont make any claims but my customers love it... that usually covers my butt lol

Where Handmade is ALWAYS Better!

I did some traveling over the past week and stopped at two other Cracker Barrels....one in VA and one in PA. Both sold the exact same soap. At this point I have to believe it's up and down the east coast. I still haven't purchased a bar to try because I'm against supporting bogus claims. It may be time to contact Margaret Hamburg....

LOL! Margaret could have a field day on Etsy. Some of the claims...hoo boy! Try the chicken fried steak with white gravy next time you're at Cracker Barrel. Best thing on the menu, IMO. Definitely artery clogging, tho. Good thing there's not a Cracker Barrel within an hour of me.

I'm gonna try GM with your method because I really, really want to gel it. I like having my freezer and fridge space back. Tell me the ammonia smell goes away after gelling, please?

The ammonia smell does go away after gelling.
