i added it because i have so many different soaps that are just 'white' in colour, need to distinguish them somhow!

Here's a new one I made last weekend. It's Apricot Freesia FO and I used a silicon bundt pan I've had for ages - was very pleased with it (even if I do say so myself!!)

I also made another layered loaf. Pink Grapefruit FO with white, pink and purple layers in white and pink clear layers too. I think there's about 12 layers? I had pink, purple and clear pink chunks left over from another soap so chucked them on the top and poured more pink clear over them. I was pleased with the end result - but not as pretty as the layered pastels! That surprised me with how lovely it looked at the end!! It often is the simplest ideas that work the best isn't it?

Ha ha - it's funny how serendipity works isn't it? I had poured and swirled, layered and splodged for days (it felt like!!) and when I looked at how many more layers I had to do to get to the top of the pan I thought to myself ... no! So I went hunting for the pink and purple chunks I had stashed away from another soap, spritzed them and chucked them on the top and then poured the pink clear over. Boy was I happy with the result of my laziness!! I think it's true what everyone says on this forum - sometimes the "accidental" soapy stuff works out better than the planned stuff!

I've heard it said that laziness is the mother of invention, or if you want to simplify a job give it to a lazy person.

You Australians are very generous people, I know this reading soaping boards and I know this from visiting in the mid 80's. While in Australia July of the Expo year I bought a darling lapel pin. When I returned to the states EVERYONE at my business wanted one of these darling bread pins, made of bread. So I called the shop where I purchased the pins and ordered a dozen of these pins, in excess of $100 in merchandise. I gave my CC number and asked that it be placed on my care.

Well several weeks later the package arrived! Oh joy! In the package was a full page letter from the proprietor asking me to pick up a money order for the postage and the product, as they didn't do credit card purchases. Believe it or not they made my entire month. I was high on the notion that someone half a world away trusted me! Of course I went to an international bank got a money order and sent it along post haste.

In this day and age I don't imagine this would be as likely to happen, but occasionally it does come to mind and still puts a smile on my face!

I of course was serious about how lovely your soap is and just joshing you about mailing me one!!
