Teach Soap

I don't know where to post this really. I have some dried rose hips and I don't know what to do with them. I have a bunch of dried herbs as a matter of fact and they just sit there. The jars collecting dust. Does anyone know what to do with dried rose hips? I know you can make a tea or jam out of them but I am not really into that. Wouldn't know where to start. Is there anything that can be done with them for skin care? TIA.

You could chop them up and infuse them in an oil for soap or lotion.

That's what I was hoping. Thank you, Soapbuddy. I just couldn't find anywhere that said that was a use for them. What about Marigold, Golden Seal, and Oak Moss? Just not alot of information out there about them. TIA again.

You can infuse marigold. I never tried goldenseal this way nor Oakmoss, so that I don't know.

After infusing the oils, do you need to refrigerate them or add a preservative to them if you don't use the right away? If so, how much preservative would you use?

I use rose hip powder to colour cold process soap. It produces a gorgeous dark red/brown. Not sure if you could grind it fine enough but it's well worth a shot.
