Teach Soap

Well I started with M and P and have gingerly ventured into CP. I have bars of each type on my sink to play with.

My question is for perhaps those most experienced. How can one distinguish between a CP and a MP bar of soap? I can't tell the difference yet, but I'm sure there is one. They each make lovely lather, clean and feel nice, each have lovely fragrance unless naked. So for the life of me my observation powers are letting me down here. How do you tell?

The way I tell is by checking for that glossy texture that MP has. Even with the white bases.
And most of the ingredients for each are basic:
CP (oils, sodium hydroxide, etc)
MP (oils, sorbitol, sorbate, etc)

Thanks Miss Rhosie that makes sense to me. The textures can be close, but yes how the light bounces off is a good clue! Ok!
