So I made some bath tea tonight, just playing around and I thought I would try it. I used 3 oz epsom salts (was around 1/3 cup but I weighed it), and then 1 oz of dried chamomile herbs, 1 oz lavender buds, and 1 oz raspberry leaves. It smells amazing!! I had bought some smaller tea bags from BB, and now I am realizing I'm definately going to need the larger size. The problem is, maybe it's because they were the small bags, but while it smelled great in the bag, the second I dropped it in the tub I couldn't smell it. I could smell it when I picked up the bag and sniffed, but I didn't feel like it did anything to my water really--did give a very slight yellowish tint though from the chamomile. Anyways, Once I realized that one little bag in all that water probably wouldn't do much, I added 2 more bags. So it was a total of .25 oz of tea mix from the two bags. They were filled pretty full. I am wondering why it wasn't enough of a smell. Is that normal, or was it just me? Maybe my nose was burnt out from all the other goodies I've been making today. I figured with me adding 3 total bags, surely i should get some kind of tub fragrance-seems like my 3 would be the equivalent of 1 big bag. So I am wondering what I did wrong. Perhaps I should try a different combo of herbs--although it smelled great dry, or even wet when I was holding it close to me.

Ok enough rambling, I guess I will hit the sack! Later!!

It always smeller better in the bag. Once you drop the bag in the water, it gets diluted and you don't smell much. It makes for a nice bath nevertheless. :D

so that is what people expect from bath tea, it's normally that way you mean? So if someone's used to buying bath tea, they would know it's supposed to be like that (i have never bought bath tea--probably why i didn't know :D)

You can up the scent by adding a couple of drops of essential oil or fragrance oil to the mixed herbs before you add them to the bag.
