I am actually considering having my site redesigned. I think it might be a bit too serious?
This is going to be the fourth time I have it changed and I wanted some critiques on the actual look

I think it looks really elegant. Nice and simple and good info about each soap. It looks like a spa website. Very attractive colours too - it all looks and feels very soothing.

I really like the website. It's easy to use and very elegant. I like the spa pictures that change on the screen and the colors of the layout. Your product photo's could be a little larger, but still very nice.

Your pictures are great, how do you cut out the backgrounds like that? Overall the site has a crisp, clean feel and is elegant, but I personally don't care for the header. It's dark and murky and IMO, it distracts from rather than adds to the crisp, clean elegant feel of the site.

"Receive" is misspelled on your main page and there's a misspelling on your policy page as well. There could be others, those were the first that I caught. You may want to run your text through a spell check.

The descriptions could use some fleshing out, IMO. There are thousands upon thousands of people selling soap. It's a super competitive market. The descriptions need more to draw people in and sell them on the soap. What is it that you love about each of your soaps?

And I agree about using "sodium hydroxide" instead of "saponified oils of". If somone is afraid to use "sodium hydroxide," I personally wonder what else they are using that they're hiding from me.

I'd suggest getting more accurate with shipping, too. USPS has rates on their website.

Your categories are set up nicely, you have a good variety and overall it's a lovely website. I wish you much success!

I don't want to give the impression that by putting "saponified oils of" I am trying to deceive my customers. When speaking to potential customers I always tell them that I make "lye" soaps. I explain the whole process to them and I also explain that properly made soap has no lye left in it. I just think that listing my ingredients that way looks nicer.

I really like the website I like how the pictures change on the main page showing different products. It does have a lovely feel to it.

The only things I would mention would be to make your offer of 'Buy four soaps recieve FREE shipping' to stand out a little more. Put it into a box (for want of a better word ) and make it a different colour so that people spot the offer easily.

Also on the Contact Us page could you do information boxes for the customer to fill in? Like name, email address, comment box and then all they have to do is press send. I personally think it looks better than someone having to copy and paste your email or if someone isn't very good on the computer, grabbing a pen and paper to jot it down then going to their emails to write you an email and so on and so forth :]

Anyway, hope this helps a little and I like it
