I wish there were some cool soapmaking classes around my neck of the woods....

I think SoapyLove needs to do a RoadTrip up the coast from San Diego to Brambleberry in Bellingham... and make stops along the way. I'm right in the middle, in Willamette Valley, OR. Please come to Eugene!!

Hmmm... what kind of venue are you looking for? A retail store of some kind? We have chain stores, like Michael's and JoAnn Fabrics, but I don't think we have any kind of smaller crafty stores. I'll have to keep an eye out for that. But let us know what kind of venues you're looking for.

And while you're in Aus you could just pop across a ditch and come to New Zealand. It's summer here at the moment.

Oh my gosh, you guys! Thanks for the enthusiastic invitations! If I didn't have a 4 yr old and 2 yr old to entertain on a 20 hour flight to Australia and New Zealand, I would be there in a heart beat! Maybe if you could pool your airline mileage for first class tickets then it wouldn't be so bad.

Regarding types of venues, any place that has enough space to teach would be fine. I was just at Kelley's house of Soapies Supplies and taught in a media room. If we can get 3 6' tables and have a workspace with electric outlets, then that works. An actual store would be nice but they're not easy to come by. Michael's and Joanne's don't seem to host paid workshops and I wouldn't want to be limited to using supplies that they sell.
