Thanks PurpleMolly. I checked it out, and left my email address for notification when in stock. Now I'm wondering what the price is, and I know postage from the US is around $US30! This is an expensive hobby, but I really do love it.

Mella, the dark line on the orange slice is poppyseeds. It was supposed to be an orange poppyseed cake, but the seeds didn't stay spread throughout. I'm finding the most interesting thing about soaping is the nice surprises you can get. There are also the nasty surprises, but we take them in our stride, don't we!! :o

Just wanted to show off these two. The choc/turquoise is a rebatch, with CP pieces mixed in. The loofah soaps were made with lots of M&P remakes and leftovers. I'm pleased with them both.

Thanks for the compliments - Soapbuddy and mella! It was inspired by a Piet Mondrian painting. I'm experimenting with different shapes and stripes as a way to generate some new ideas.

Ana Maria - I love, love, love the stripes! You should check out the artist Morris Louis - he worked with stripes. Your soap reminds me of his work.

Here's my latest one. It's a spinoff from Soapylove's Cameo soap from her Soapylove Book.
I will say that the pouring temperature was a challenge as you can see from my first attempt and then when I carefully monitored the temps a second time then I was able to get it right :D

By the way - it's a miniature schnauzer

1st attempt
As you can see the black started to bleed into the rest of the soap because I poured too hot

2nd attempt

I ran into a similar problem with an embedded object sliced it too thin I believe.

Other than thickness, do you think if we refrigerated the objects to be embedded that it would help. What temp do you think we should us the M&P to poor over the embeds? Thank you for sharing your project I love the doggies!

I've tried the bubble wrap!! Lined the pan and then pressed it into the top. I'm pretty pleased with the results - will colour it a bit darker next time!

I also had a go at the watermelon slices!

Wow - there has been some fun, new creative soaps being posted.

BrooklynBath - Woof!

The bubble wrap turned out cool.

Here's one of my latest works - called "Think Pink" with Pink Aquolina Sugar
