I was just given a new scale that is very nice but I'm not sure how to read it. It only reads in fractions and all my recipes are in decimals. I'm not sure how to convert my recipe to fit my scale. Any help would be great.

My back up scale does the same thing. If it is like mine it displays by the 1/8 ounce. Just pull out your calculator and devide 1 by 8 and it will tell you .125 for the 1/8 ounce. That should do it.

Divide the bottom number (numerator) into the top number (denominator) and that will give you the decimal equivalent.

2/3 becomes .66666 because 2÷3= .6666

1/4 become .25 because 1÷4=.25

Easy breezy.

Ok.....before I get flamed.....the d-e-n-o-m-i-n-a-t-o-r is the bottom number.

Pretty bad that I'm a scientist and make mistakes like that huh?

Does it by any chance have a toggle to let you convert to grams?
Since I started measuring in grams life is much easier (after the initial adjustment).
