I've seen people listing clear and cloudy hand made soap online and am curious how they do it. My question is, is it possible to pour glycerin MP layer with CP in one log? Or is this a no no?

I've done it, but the MP swirled it's way down into the CP. It didn't stay on top.

I see, it is possible, just need to find a way to keep them two mingling together. Great to know. It would be my next experiment. Thanks!

The problem I could foresee is that the MP would not adhere to the CP soap underneath.

Would it be possible to mix CP with MP when rebatching the CP? If you added the melted MP when the CP was ready to pour, (or splodge!), would that work? I was going to try it this week with my leftovers, but thought I'd see if it's been done by anyone, and how it went.
This would just be for my personal use (and to have fun experimenting).

That would be pretty! I've been considering that also, but haven't attempted it yet.

Is slodge what I think it is, like gal loop galloop? Have a grand day.

Seems to me it would be easiest just to use clear and opaque M&P bases instead of trying to get the clear M&P to work correctly with CP I haven't tried any M&P, so am just "supposing"

Here's my thought. NaOH mixes with oil (CP soap) = soap with glycerine
So why wouldn't M&P glycerine adhere to CP soap assuming if 100% natural M&P glycerine base is used? I'm just curious, can't answer my own question. I guess I would do experiments in order to find out.

I've never poured MP with CP, but I have used cured CP trimmings in my MP and it worked very well. They adhered as well as I could have hoped for. I don't think it would be a problem, and if it is, you can always remelt it and use the MP for something else.
