why oh why do I have such trouble getting my pretty little soaps out of the nice plastic molds? I have some lovely flat ones; sort of 'guest soap' sized and I have a terrible time getting them out cleanly! Do I need to use vaseline or a cooking spray on even these? I can understand for much deeper molds ....please advise! :|

For CP soap, I would try adding a small % of beeswax to your recipe, or add sodium lactate to your lye water. Or you could try freezing to get the soap out.

When I make the little guest soaps from molds I spray them first with Pam cooking spray. Just a light coating then pour the soap. After it hardens I pop it in the freezer for at least an hour. Most of the time they come right out. If not, I run a little cold water on the underside of the mold and do a little mold flexing. The Pam spray will saponify but I've never had any problems with it and the soap turns out great.

I have found that spraying with Pam and then freezing fora few hours or overnight makes mine pop right out of the mold.

Thank you so much to the help! I have another set of guest molds I am working up my nerve to try, so will apply this method. Thanks so much! :D
