I’ve been remiss. I've had so much of my own soap to test that I had to put some soap swap soaps on the back burner.

My face was mega happy with the Happy Face bar- wow that rhassoul clay is amazing. DH wants me to make him a rhassoul clay soap now because his face has been mega happy too. I’ve already commented on this soap but wanted to add that.

Kim’s Cucumber Melon bar: It has a clean, refreshing scent. I love this size which fits nicely in hand and would make a great guest or gift soap. It’s a very pretty soap. I don’t know how you cut it so perfectly. Making it with rainwater was very cool! Nice lather, creamy, smooth and bubbly all at the same time. It’s a lovely all around soap that I really enjoy. Thank you!

Spotted Cat your Dreamsickle bar is just as fragrant as the day it arrived. I don’t know how I’ve managed to refrain as long as I have, other than it’s so pretty that I’ve wanted to save it (I’m weird like that) but I promise not to hold off much longer. :)

I still have other soaps to try too. I haven’t forgotten them. Happy holidays!

I too have been testing my own bars lately. Although my current favorite is the lemon bar. My salty mariner bar is just a sliver I loved the scent so much. Whoever did the round one that's pink & yellow made a wonderful bar. I've been using it when I need to shave my legs because the lather is SO nice!

I've decided I love the smell and look of Watermelon nights but not so much in love with the poppyseeds. My kids freak out because it looks like bugs in the shower! And I think they're a little scratchy for me.

I'm still working my way through the box and I love them all. My kids and hubby have been using them occasionally too. It's a family affair:-)

I have been enjoying this old thread so much. The descriptions and the enjoyment just sing right off the posts. I can almost see what people were bathing with!

Just thank you all for putting the time and effort into this thread, so thorough and descriptive!

Wow, it sounds like ev1 had so much fun with that last swap! If anyone is planning to host another one soon, I'd love to be a part of it! I love creating things and just need the tiniest excuse to start a new project! And sharing my yummies with others is always a treat for me!

^^^IT was way fun. I had oh-so-many soaps started in my shower, it was ridiculous! :D

K....the Lemon Bar soap....was very VERY very lemony. If it were "just a regular" soap, I'd say the fragrance was bordering on the heavy side, but since it was a petite bar, just like the namesake dessert, it was really nice. Packed a punch, and was *so* lovely to use. Funny thing, but the "merengue" part lasted just about as long as the "lemon" part...must be the titanium dioxide? I dunno. The soap component was great, and if memory serves it had that wonderful olive oil feel to it. DH kept stealing it. And still, I got to use it. I liked the little glassine bag it came in as well, kinda like a bakery bag for a treat! If it were a product you'd sell, perhaps just close with a label and voila!

Gingerbread Latte....this is the one with the decorative sugar crystals on top that folks said were kinda melting. Mine was no exception, but as I've said...I've had oodles of soap to go through, so this was one of the last ones I tested. When I first received it, the sugar did create that syrup, and then after a while I was cleaning up and then removed the bag and just let the soap sit (since the swap, a couple months). EVENTUALLY there was no syrupy-ness going on. I can't remember offhand what the sugar crystals looked like. I dunno how you can correct this problem because you need to put the crystals on BEFORE it cures, but it's the water evap'ing out of the soap that's making the syrup...a catch-22. Since the soap was called Gingerbread Latte, perhaps you can use some sort of brown mica on the top, or do two pours so you get the "latte" part and then the "foam" part, with some dark mica sprinkled on top?

The bar is still in my shower right now, still about the same size square, just really really FLAT. The soap was oh-so-nice, not drying at all!!! The scent is very yummy, and I think that's why I saved the best for last...because it helped the holidays last just a *wee* bit longer!

Karen's seaside teal scrubby bar....what a nice, nice, subtle scrubby! Very fine grains, very nice amount in the bar. THe soap is great. Color...great. Scent...very subtle. I could have used a *wee* bit more, but it was definately there. Understated, and fresh. :D I like the shrink-labels that tearaway. It makes it easy to get to the good stuff! :D

Aaaaaaaand, I'll have to look back to see if there's any I missed!

I broke down and used Spotted Cat’s Dreamsickle bar. It’s a beautiful bar of soap so I’ve wanted to save it. Pale orange with a white funnel swirl. The fragrance has stuck magnificently. I barely got it it wet and bubbles started rolling. Bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles. I love bubbles! Bubbles were followed by a rich, thick creamy lather. I was amazed by the thick, rich lather. Wow, this is truly a luxurious soap!

I smell clean, fresh and pampered. Or I smell clean, fresh and feel pampered by this luxurious bar. It’s not often that I want to make someone else’s soap, but I want to make this one. It’s big, gorgeous, skin softening, and has amazing lather. This bar is one of the highlights of the swap for me. I'm impressed, Karen!

I loved the Dreamsicle bar as well. It kept disappearing from my shower and I had to go keep stealing it back.

@ Vinca - I did end up making a salt bar recipe with 70% Salt and added it at trace. I used a lemon-sugar FO mixed with some tea tree oil. It worked just great and was a big hit with my xmas gifts. My friends who do yoga especially raved about it as a post-workout treat. I'm all out now so I need to make some more.

I'm still using mine as well! I'm currently using the Gingerbread Latte...this is my FAVORITE in color and scent. I like the big bar. I almost don't want to use it and just sniff it! I used it for a bit and put it in the guest bathroom and have gone back to it.

I used Spotted Cat's Dreamsickle Bar every day for a week. It's luscious. Then somehow it it ended up in DH's shower. I'm eyeballing Karen S' Salty Mariner. It's looking really good and it's up next for my morning shower. :D
