Teach Soap

So my first batch of CP soap has finished curing, and the snafu I was afraid of has reared its ugly head. Go ahead and say "I told you". I was too impatient to wait for the responses when I asked about Lab Color and used WAAAY too much. It's a beautiful shade of burgundy like I planned, but it leaves your hands the same color after using the soap. Oops. So my question is this:

Can I do anything to salvage this soap? Can I cut it up to color other batches later? Sort of like using bullion cubes to make broth, but color cubes for soap?

Try shredding it and add a small amount to another batch.

Here are two examples...

This one used the large curls from a cheese grater... you see the fugly "Before" soap on the left and the pretty "After" soap on the right. I used some TD in the new base soap and because the FO was so strong in the bad batch I didn't have to add any new fragrance.


And here is a recent salt bar batch I made...
I did use a smidge of yellow colorant in the new batch and used a fine hand grater to shred the original darker yellow soap into that. You can see the effect changes based on how big your shreds are and how much you use.

I just wanted the OP to see that something good can come from ugly soap.
I have had a couple snafus with color but haven't thrown out a batch yet!!

They both look terrific, Mickey. I haven't tried shredding a batch into another one yet. That's super encouraging!
