I have discovered three so far. Bonsai made me literally about puke, I had to immediately toss it. Lavender essential oil seems to give me heartburn (I know...weird), and cinnamon gives me a raging headache.

Anyone have certain scents that trigger them?

Gardenia straight from the bottle just kills me. Once it's diluted in the soap or if I make a blend with it, I'm good.

I haven't found one like that yet. If you don't like them, you can always send them to me. :D

Marrakesh, makes me feel physically sick.It reminds me of burnt BBQ meat ,l have had to banish it to the garage because l can even smell the bottle when it has the cap on (probably all in my mind).

Jasmine, be it the plant or anything scented with it, gives both my mum and I really bad headaches. Other than that haven't found any others as yet

Rosemary EO, ick, and when mixed with peppermint I get a headache for hours. I used to make CP with it but when it hit the hot soap it was so awful I decided never again. Some musks I find pretty strong but don't make me ill.

Spiced egg nog.

I bought it thinking it would make great holiday soaps, and holy heck it smells -awful-! I tried adding a little cinnamon sugar to it, but no luck. Makes me nauseous.

Rose gives me a massive headache for days after I even just sniff it. But unfortunately, my customers love it. I have to just suck it up and deal with it.

Lime Verbena. I was sick all the following day after working with it. Oddly, after the batch has sat for a few days, it doesn't seem to bother me in the soap.

I can't get near anything with Musk. Any of you old enough to remember when that stuff was all the rage? I bought a bottle, put it on before going to lunch with my husband's bosses wife, and became so ill I could hardly talk to the woman.

Another time a friend stopped by to show me some photographs. The minute she handed them to me, I knew where she had been. We had a mutual friend who use to wear a musk based perfume. I could actually smell that just from her having touched those photo's a couple of hours before!! I can't be near anyone wearing musk without wanting to get out of there as quickly as possible. I'll chance lanes at the grocery if needed.

White Musk used to be my favorite! I was with my daughter and her friend the other day and I instantly recognized the scent. Her friend had it on. Brought back memories. LOL!

I am writing to tell everyone not to use kelp (seaweed) and cucumber melon together. I did ... but will never do it again! Right now I call it the stinky soap... was going to get rid of the entire batch but the smell has lessened some so will wait the 4 weeks. I think some of the turn off is just me because I have found one or two people that think its OK :?: If you were to go into my basement and smell the entire batch together nausea would be the only reaction you would have  Susie

Oh, Sugar Plum Fairy makes me SO sick! But everyone who smells it loves it. I have made a bunch of perfume for my friends to give to their children, and it ends up sitting on THEIR counter because they love it. I don't get it, but to each their own. And Dragon's Blood oob is not my favorite, but it gets so many raves!
