[quote="meeshee"]Captainbubbles - I think your geometric soap looks great! Much better than my first attempt at doing it! What have you scent it with?
Thank you, Meeshee! Having said that, you're all so far ahead of me in terms of what you know and what you can do with liquid soap, I'm in awe of all of you. And ... I only post photos of my successes (!).
The geology soap was scented with chocolate (son's favourite, and it seemed sensible; not many fragrances go with 'earth', do they? Not too sure about chocolate fragranced 'grass', but there you go! I'm proud of the 'roots', though; they were an experiment, and I didn't know if they'd worked until I cut a slice off. I'm hoping they might spread a bit and look more root-like between now and Christmas!
Loved your Christmas cake, Meeshee, but could have kicked myself when I saw your pictures. I made a round cake, to cut into slices, but the way you've done it is so much more sensible. I made mine about 3 weeks ago and have left it sitting out, unwrapped, to see if the 'frosting' would shrink, AND IT HASN'T! About a week ago I gritted my teeth, cut a slice out and wrapped it in cling film, and it all stayed where it should ... most chuffed. Like you, I'm handing it out to family and friends as Christmas prezzies. (Tried to post two pictures, but for some reason it won't let me ... I'll post a second message; seems easier than reinventing the wheel!)
My love to Somerset; my mum lives there; just the most beautiful county to live in ... very jealous!
