 Post subject: Lab Colors problem

I purchased some Lab Colors a while back but forgot to order the preservative so I have been keeping them in the fridge. However, I took them to my son's school recently to make soap and when I came home I put the whole box on my soap shelf instead of in the fridge. I later noticed what looked like some mold floating on top of the dye. Is there a way I can salvage these colors? I can't really afford to buy more and it just seems wasteful to dump the whole lot out. Would heating or freezing them kill any bacteria? I don't sell my soap--just use it at home and give to friends.

I would toss it. You do not want to risk it with any form of mold.
