I wondering can we make a transparent soap bar from Cold process??
and what can we use Glycerin for making soap???

I would have to say that transparent cold process soap does not exist. Maybe somehow a rebatch where you had the ability to pull off the glycerin would be the closest thing, but that's a guess on my part.

Glycerin is already in coldprocess soaping. I have seen where people will add it to their recipes but to me that seems a waste--- I'd rather add another beneficial oil or butter

I believe you can HP/rebatch (don't remember which) with alcohol to make it clear. From what I understand it is a rather complicated process.

I tried it once and it was a disaster and I don't like using that much alcohol in soap anyway. So I made it and it was such an ordeal and it came out kind of soft and it was very alcohol smelling and I ended up throwing it out.

There is a tutorial on millersoap.com I believe but I just went back to buying it premade as it's way easier.

Creating transparent soap involves a few additional steps to straight cold processing and involves heating up your batch and adding everclear (or the equivalent thereof). I won't attempt to describe it all here but the really nice thing about transparent soap is that it holds the scent much longer and stronger than cold processed soaps though it's not quite as moisturizing as the regular cold processed. The most straight-forward and easiest instructions that I've found come from a book:

It's an excellent reference for cold process soap making and I highly recommend it, though she needs to start paying me a commission because it seems like I'm always recommending it. I just checked and Amazon has a used copy for only $8.00

Can you incorporate M&P with CP? I've seen soaps that look like CP but have a thin layer of clear soap on top. How is this done?
