Hello,

I've made some beeswax votives and have been testing a lot. Just made 6 last night that turned out really well except there are some barely there hairline cracks on two of them. What temperature should I be pouring beeswax at?

It sounds more like the candles cooled too fast. The wax needs to cool off slowly so it doesn't crack.

Beeswax needs to be just melted, you don't need to bring it to a high temperature. I pour as soon as its melted, unless I'm adding FO's, then I stir in the Fo and pour. I pour in my basement, so my votives always crack because it's cooler, but I just do a second pour before the wax pulls away from the sides of the votive mold. 8)

Thanks for the tips. Yes, I also make mine in my basement as well and will try just melting it. I'm thinking my temperature of melted wax is too high.
