Teach Soap

I've been asked to make a few bars of soap by someone i know for her sisters 50th birthday.

She said she wanted single bars with 50 on them. But i'm struggling to come up with ideas.

I've got some mini cookie cutters, so normally i might of embeded the 50's in clear soap, but i'm out of clear soap and i havn't got time to order any as she wants the soap for next week.

I thought about doing a plain bar, with the 50 just on the top of it, but that sounds a bit boring.

So has anyone got any ideas?

What about getting some unmouted rubber stamps and checking out the Soap Queen video about using them?

Good idea, that would of been a great way to do it. But the only craft place round here is a long drive away and i don't think i'll have time to get there and make it before it is needed. But i might try it for next time so thats for suggesting it.

Anymore ideas anyone?

You have cookie cutters?

Pour a layer of color A, let completely harden then use cookie cutter to make the '50' fill hole with color B then complete soap. I usually put a very thin layer of clear first and let that harden to prevent leakage but it can be done, with practice, without the clear. If you warm up the cutters, it makes it easier.

Oh thanks i'll give that a try tomorrow. I'll post a picture of the finished bar if it is turns out right.
