Teach Soap

... but I've been mad busy setting up my new website, which I launched on Sunday. It's been easy and tough at the same time... doing the design etc was fine, I used Mr Site (not sure if you know it?) which is one of those template type sites for those who don't know coding and stuff. However, I found working out the postage SO difficult - it's hard to be fair on everyone!!! The Mr Site design only allows you to add postage for each item, when it'd make FAR more sense to add it at the end of the order (and easier to work out postage then too).

Anyway, you can view my site at - I'd be happy to have feedback on it.

The site looks great! I will be curious to hear how you like working with that software. I checked it out and my only reservation is the monthly fee after a year but then again, I don't know anything about site hosting rates - so it might be a good deal. Did you get the Pro package?

Hey Dawna, I've had no problem bar one with the software - everything has been very easy and I'm not that great with IT stuff. If you can use here and Word, then you should have no problems at all. I did get the Pro version because of the stock control issue and the SEO abilities. The only reservation I have is regarding the postal rates - they can be rather hard to work out as they ask for postage per item, rather than on the whole order. I have requested a change and hope to see if they can manage this (previous posts on their forum have said they're looking into it). Other than that, for a complete newbie, I found it very very easy.

Way to go, I did my own website too and it was so much work manually doing the paypal buttons. I never did figure out shipping though and I just people order and then I figure out shipping depending on weight. It's tricky in Canada to figure out the postage unless you pay to have a shopping cart that does it for you.

I know for my site shipping was the worst part of it. Me and the boy genius sat around for about 3 weeks and actually wrote up all the code for a custom shopping cart for all the shipping. I think we still need to configure all the UPS/FedEx tables but USPS was the worst thing. it just all depends on what you're willing to do and what you're willing to work with for shipping costs etc. I'm picky
