Sorry so late on this post, but also check your local S.C.O.R.E. office. They have tons of resources to help you out and best of all their services are free. Also you can pick up Kim Lavines book mommy millionaire it also has tons of valuable info and resources for anyone trying to start a business.

These resources helped me a lot when i started my other biz. I plan to use them again for my soap biz.

Hi, vexvelour,

I spent a total of $195.00 registering things with my county and the state of Florida. The home occupation permit was $50, the business tax receipt was $30, and the fictitious business name registration was $60 (and I had to pay $55 to run a one-day ad in my local newspaper advertising my intent to register a fictitious business name). Registering to collect sales and use tax was free online.
