We just returned from our tri-county fair. Besides blue ribbons for baked goods (baklava, ginger zaps and chocolate chip cookies), there were blue ribbons for each of the two M&P crafted soaps I entered.

One is an amethyst crystal group and the other is an agate thunderegg (sliced in half to show the inside). I made the molds for each from real mineral specimens (two different molding compounds), so they are unique. It was funny, I heard two ladies discussing the amethyst and asking each other how could a rock win a ribbon?! :lol:

I told them it was soap and they were amazed and asked me if I sell them and how to order.

I know winning ribbons in the fair isn't that big a deal, but the real fun was talking to the two ladies that didn't believe it was soap!

I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

Isn't soapcrafting terrific?!!
