I made salt soap last night and it was too soft to unmold and cut before I went to bed. I tried to cut it this am, but had a lot of crumbles. I managed to save some bars (cutting with a hot, wet knife) but was wondering if I could rebatch the crumbles?
HELP! :?

If it's crumbly, I would crumble it all up and add the pieces to another batch. Salt bars are normally a little crumbly and need to be cut sooner.

No, not well. I tried it once and the rebatch needs to get SUPER DUPER DUPER HOT to even get remotely fluid. And even then, it's not pretty once you cram it in a mold.

I say do what soapbuddy says and put it in something else. :D

I would put them in a panty hose leg and use them that way! I had a batch of salt soap that I left too long and I had salt clods. They were still wonderful and my friends and family still used them. They just weren't very pretty and not suitable for gifts or anything:-) You really have to cut them while they're still really hot to get pretty bars.
