Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to show everyone my first CP batch. I was a nervous wreck during the whole lye-water segment. I should have taken a pic of the armor I put on lol...But it went pretty smooth. It's all thanks to you - I've read and re-read almost every post on this forum section to get ready for this day. I normally do MP and toiletries but just as excited as this new jump.

Thanks! I'm still excited about it even though it's been 5 hours since I made the batch...lol..

Ohhhh I want to do another batch already especially since it'll take a good 5-6 weeks for the first batch to cure. I think Christmas soaps are next!

From one new-b to another, wow! Those look really, really great. I am going to try my first swirl soon. I'm a bit fearful of the lye as well. While at the hardware store buying lye the other day I saw a blue mechanic suit and seriously thought about buying it for my soapmaking :D

Hi Everyone -

I waited two days to take out my soap out of the mold and it was super soft. I'm guessing it's because of the olive oil - 47% in my recipe.
I went ahead and cut into bars. Even though my swirls were lovely they didn't migrate down the soap as I had expected them to do. Would this have anything to do with tracing and adding them at a specific time?
I placed them on the rack to cure for 4-6 weeks so overall, I am happy
