Hi. Does anyone know how much base it takes for one silicone loaf soap? I'm trying to see if I have enough before I start.

You could put the mold on a scale, tare it, then fill it up with water. Then use that measurement for your soap.

So it's 2.25 by 3 3/8 x 7 7/8. Is that correct? That's what I'm getting from your measurements.
If that's correct, your mold should hold about 2 Lbs. 2.8 oz

With the new measurement, your mold should hold about 2 Lb. 11.6 oz.

Another approach perhaps - could you have poured water into the mold - then poured the water into a measuring cup and see how much that would have been?

The density of water and melted glycerin may be slightly different but we're talking volume so it should work out? or close to it?

Yep, that's the way I do it also. I do find that adding just a tad more glycerin than water works best.
