Teach Soap

Hey, all,

I've been trying for two nights now to post an avatar (it's about time I did) and I can't figure out how to do it to save my life! Why is this so hard?

I can manipulate the image down to less than 75x75 pixels, but I can't get it to 6KB or less. The best I can do is 16.something KB when I compress it (and even then it still shows up as 50-something KB under "Properties").

I've been screwing around with Paint (trying to shrink it down), MS Office Picture Manager (resizing and compressing), and Photobucket (the "tiny" setting still isn't small enough) and I just can't seem to do it.

What's the secret handshake?

Eeek! Nevermind!

I stumbled across the coolest, easiest online tool at http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/

You just upload your pic from your computer, set the pixels (I chose 75) and hit "Resize." Bad-a-boom-bad-a-bing! Save it to your computer and then upload to TeachSoap.

Seems legit, and it's free!

Yeah, it took me, like, 30 seconds to make an avatar after I found that website. Wish I had found it sooner -- I would be four hours saner right now if I had!

I would have suggested PhotoShop as that's what I normally use.
