One base does have SLS. Could that be the issue?

Hi! I'm new here... first post.

I'm been playing with embeds for the first time. I'm happy (almost) with the designs. But I am disappointed that they are so cloudy. I am using Brambleberry's LCP Clear. Would appreciate suggestions on how to get a clearer base.

I have no absolute answer for you as far as the base, maybe add a very light hint of blue to counter some of the cloudiness? I love the flowers!

I think I am going to try a different clear base. Even if I take some of the yellow out of it with blue, I am afraid my second and third layers still won't be visible.

In the meantime, I will experiment with white bases and pastels.

PEscapes - the top one (Blue Bamboo) I'm thinking was SLS free maybe? I did one something similar with an SLS free clear (but not really clear) base and a goatsmilk base and it gave me that sort of rolling hill look. Nice though!!

Ok, so redid my Coffee Culture again.. I actually prefer this one!!!



Dragonlady - I agree, I think I just left it too long - hard to know sometimes when it's just right! Especially as find that the goatsmilk sets at a different speed from the clear (next time I'll melt the goatsmilk first and that'll give it time to catch up to the clear!).

Redinfishgirl, the little halloween soaps are adorable!

I used Brambleberry's Energy fragrance oil. That might have been the problem.

Honey, the coffee culture soap is gorgeous! Wish I could smell it!

The candy corn and ghosts are cute! And I think the Mark II coffee soap is cooler than the first!

The cloudy MP could be the fragrance. I know BB Pearberry is cloudy at first when added to MP, you have to stir it in quite a bit before it clears up.
