I made a batch of bath bombs yesterday with very basic recipe:
200g baking soda
100g acid citric
1 tbsp of grapeseed oil
The oil is added after blending the first two well. Then while whisking I added 2-3 spritz of rose lotion. The mix turned out clumpy(some tiny balls in the dough) but could be molded easily.
When I took them out of the molds, after a few minutes I saw they started frizzing. That scared me so I immediately wrapped them in plastic bags and left them in my room (AC = 26oC). After about 1 or 2 hours, I saw lots of water bubbles around the bags and the bath bomb's surface got some tiny holes. I think maybe I put in too much water or my room is too humid? I checked some weather forecast website and found that my city has 100% humidity.

Today I tried 1 of my just made bath bomb, but it was a failure. WHen I dropped it into my tub, it sunk right to the bottom and broke into dusts with little frizzes. :?
Please give me some advices.

Yes, the high humidity can cause problems. Also, if there was water in the rose lotion you sprayed with - which there most likely was - it may have made the mixture too wet. When that happens, the chemical reaction takes off on its own.

Is there a drier area you can work when you're mixing these?

My rose lotion has water in it. So maybe I spritzed too much water.
A drier location? It should be 500km away from here  j/k.
I will try my kitchen. Here the rain season is leaving so I just have to wait I think.
