Rice bran is comparable to olive. Flax, jojoba, almond & avocado are all soft oils. If you want a harder bar, you could add sodium lactate, but with that much olive it should harden up fairly quickly. For bubbles, castor oil is your best bet, or you can add a small amount of sugar to your lye water. If you discounted some of your water & with CPOP, if the person can wait at least 2 weeks, the soap will be better and last longer by then.

Thanks Soapbuddy! It came out beautifully! Its still pretty soft (can push finger and make an indent) but I think it will harden up nicely. I overheated it in the silicone mold, apparently, so I have a pretty groovy bubble pattern on it, but it works pretty well with the mold I used. And the smell is so nice. . just a nice, natural soap smell.

Thanks again. . c an't wait to give it to him!

Lisa

I just made some 90% olive/10 % coconut soap and it's such a pretty shade of green without color or fragrance. I discounted the water and cpop'ed but still a little soft. I washed my hands with a sliver today (it's been a little over a week) and it's so creamy and left my hands very soft. I made it for a friend of mine that's allergic to scents among other things. I'm going to let it sit a good 6 weeks. Should be a wonderful bar.

Congrats you two!

I personally like the non-color, non-scent bars. Very back to basics. Once they use the bars they will love them too.
