Hodad's is the ultimate San Diego burger joint, in Ocean Beach. Here's a review site with some photos. They've been crowded lately, because they got mentioned on the Food Network as the #1 place to visit in San Diego. The onion rings are to DIE for.

Sorry, got off track. CPOP is cold process/oven process - where you put your soap in the mold and then put the mold into a low oven to encourage complete gel.

I do that with salt bars, just so I can force them to gel according to my schedule and I can control exactly when I take them out to cool slightly before slicing.

I would imagine that the weather is warm enough where you are, that you don't need to use the oven at all. Just keep an eye on your salt bar batch and cut them when still warm.

OK, thanks, I'll check that out. I'll be home in June.

I figured CPOP MIGHT be CP combined with OP somehow, but I had never heard of it. I have always been tempted to put my soap in the oven though.

Anyway, It's winter here and last night it was 64 degrees here, which is quite chilly for us....daytime temps are still warm outside. My house stays cool inside, so not sure right now if room temp is enough. What temp do you put your oven?

I still have quite a bit of PK oil. Thought I might do a really small test batch and see what happens......if it turns out OK I'll take along to my friends spa next week.

I really love the way the soap looks....super hard.....but guess I will just have to test it to see what happens here. It might be something to make only during the dryer winter months.

The Salt Bars I saw in Hawaii (humid & tropical climate) did not do too well - they really need to be sealed tight in your packaging!
I'm sure your climate is even more humid than the windward side of The Big Island!
