Beautiful melt and pour soaps. When I first saw the soaps, my first reaction was the same as SoapBuddy's - that they poured into a mold that was done with a variation on the swirled soap technique () but when I spend some more time with that, it seems more likely that the soap is done as a triple pour () with multiple hands in an upright mold. The dividers are also a possibility ...

I can try some experiments at the lab if you guys want me to try and figure out how the super nifty soap could be made.

now that you mention it AM..maybe we should all collaborate on a mini-project...one person can do a triple-pour, someone else with dividers, and whatever other possibilities...we can post up the pics too?

Hokay Dokay. I've got something sitting in the mould, Whether it'll look anything like these soaps ..... well, it remains to be seen. I had equal bits of opaque white and clear green (with pearl mica) and used the divider. The soap was really cool when I poured - it had a medium skin on it, and was starting to set in lumps. When I took the divider out, the opaque slipped under the clear green a bit - (we'll see how it looks). Then, I had a tiny bit of clear red which I poured from quite a height to penetrate all the way through. Whether this will simply mix with the green and make an ugly messy colour or not is anyone's guess. All have been fragranced with sweetpea just to keep at least one aspect of it simple. :D I'll have a looksee what it looks like later, and ....... if you're all good, I'll cut it and show pics. Now comes the wait.

Honey - You and me too!! I keep pestering it to see what it looks like. Getting impatient now - really wanna cut, but it's only been about 2 hours. Might slop all over the counter. Sigh. If I pester it one more time, it might just smack my hand!! LOL!

Soapbuddy - DOH! I didn't see your post! (Putting my glasses back on!) I love your soaps. The colour contrast is great! Do they lather white? What did you use to colour them?

Okay, I have pics ... be warned though, they're not the prettiest in the world.

This is the cut soap. Not as good distinction as I would have liked though.

This now, is the loaf. If anyone asks, the answer is Yes! I did put my brains into figuring this one out.

It's certainly not as good as those, but it certainly was fun to make, and a challenge for a newbie like me. I'll DEFINATLY be doing more of these!! :D

I like the slices of soap ... and they do look sweetpea too! Not quite the same but I still think they do it differently (convinced there's some equipment invovled and the "handmade" aspect is from the person operating the machine). Very sweetpea indeed.

I think you're right Celine. It has to be some mechanical way of doing things. However, I loved making the soaps, and they're still very saleable. So, we'll see. :)
