Teach Soap

OK I just made a batch of CP soap and it traced really quick so I got it into the tray mold i have. It was so thick that i had to smooth it out, almost like smoothing out frosting on a cake, to get it to cover the whole tray. While I was smoothing out the soap the top white just moved with the spatula to reveal a yellow type gel underneath???? Is this normal??? I have never seen it before and got nervous. I tried to mix the white normal looking soap with the yellow gel soap but it didn't mix so well. As i was doing this i realized all the white soap was turning to yellow gel soap. Some one please help!!!

That's your soap going into gel. It was most likely your scent that made it heat up.

So your saying my soap is fine then!!? Haha sorry I got so nervous and just needed to ask someone right away what was going on. Ok so what exactly does "soap going into gel" mean? I don't think my soap has ever gelled before. (this is probably only my 5th batch of soap) It probably gelled because you helped me out on the fragrance bulletin!! I was trying out a batch, to add the amount of EO you suggested.

Soap going into gel means the soap is going from solid to semi-liquid as the saponification of lye and oils takes place. It might temporarily get darker and hotter. When it cools off, you can usually cut it. Sounds fine to me.
