I made HP soap for the first time and I think I cooked it too long. Actually I don't really know- The layers fell apart, when I unmolded it the pink strip in the middle unadheised from the main portion but also their was .10 oz of glitter in between the layers. (For a 2 lb loaf) I wish I'd saved it long enough to take a picture they would have been so pretty!!! Now they are soap balls. =( Any suggestions what I did wrong?

Sounds like the glitter was the culprit. I woud suggest using a very thin layer of mica instead. This method works the best if you make the soap as CP, then gel it (like in the oven).

I agree with soapbuddy. Too much of anything between the layers is asking for trouble.

Wouldn't glitter be scratchy? Or was it the superfine stuff?

Actually it was BB shredded glitter that would be scratchy wouldn't it? I've never even used glitter in cp soap and I wanted to make sure it showed up lol!! Thanks ladies for your help. Hopefully next batch will be better!
