This is soap with muliple tones

Actually it's what I am calling a "redo rescue"



My initial attempt was a hybrid layered soap with one layer to be 'swirled'. I followed an episode of SoapQueen TV - but failed along the way and when I cut the soap I could see that the swirled layer was not really adhered to the first layer (I did spritz with alcohol, but who knows). Needless to say I spent a couple days rethinking what to do. I decided basically to rescue each plain colored layer and cut up the swirled layer into small squares and throw them into a remelted layer and stick with basical layering for now. I'll attempt swirling again another day. I think for a "redo" it's still appealing.

I'm calling the slice "Applicious" as it reminds me of apple varietals (pippin, pink lady, yellow delicous) with a pinch of cinnamon spice.

the watermelon soap is excellent! Can I ask what you used for the seeds? They look like they might be black sesame seeds? I have a watermelon soap project but I haven't found something I like for the seeds. Everything seems too tiny (poppy seeds or jojoba seeds) or not the right color.

asliceofdelight - I still love that soap!! The colours are so pretty, and the swirl that you've done there is very good. I know what you mean about layers not sticking even with mega spritzing - that's what happened to me too! I think the fact that you did a crinkle cut rather than a straight cut makes it stand out even more. Nice one!!

soapbuddy - I am seriously in love with your lipbalm!! That is a serious WOW!

SoapBytheslice: that looks pretty watermelon soap looks like a real watermelon, congratulations feel like eating.

Soapbuddy: I love the lip balm and it's very original in two colors, congratulations.

Asliceofdelight: I have to say your soaps, you can choose one or the other, all are great, with wonderful warmth, congratulations.

Soapylove - that tutorial is excellent, I can imagine using something similar with a gold transfer sheet for wedding favour soaps.

Soapbuddy - loving the lip gloss, really really nice. Time consuming though, doing that with a straw.

Hilary - that is a great soap and the colours really match the fragrance, I love that!!!

Soapbytheslice - loving the watermelon soap!!! Couldn't make it here alas, considered too food like which is against EU law (poo!!!).

SoapByTheSlice - that is such a gorgeous Watermelon soap! I have never made a soap like that and am not sure how you did it! Totally cool!
