Teach Soap

Hello again, today I am a bit nosy.

I'm doing an assignment for a wedding soaps, soaps are 3 short with small cookie cutter (one in a star, heart and other a rectangle) the couple want them wrapped soaps and I wonder when give soaps is it desirable that wrap paper one at a kitchen fil?, here where I live for the wedding date and humid and if they are of unwrapped in a field will be made ugly.

Hi Ana Maria, how about going to your loca florist and getting a little bit of cellophane and wrap a few as testers and see if that works for you? I got some the other day and the soap looks so much better wrapped like that. Hilary (asliceofdelight) uses it and says it works fine on the soaps.

If it is really humid where you live then they may need to be shrink wrapped to avoid 'sweating'. You can use regular kitchen saran wrap and then shrink it to the soap with a hair dryer or heat gun. After that then you can use additional wrapping if you wanted to make them fancier.

The wedding will be Oct. 17, until now we had a great time, but for those dates is not very likely, if I start to cut the soaps now I had thought about what I said Bramble Momma, as the cellophane is a little thicker than the plastic used in the kitchen and more difficult to be drawn, especially when the soaps are so small. I will do the test with both methods and see how it is.

You can also get shrink wrap online that you use like the cling and heat to shrink around the soaps. Not sure about a local supplier but you could try - they sell shrink wrap by the metre and you could get a little just to see how it works? Delivery costs might be too much for that though. You might be able to find a local supplier easier.

Maybe there is some place that you have access to where you live. Someone bought a soap of mine and I had it in the bag (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?li ... d=30981150) - he lived in Hollister which is about 2 hours south of me. It was a *very* hot week and when he received my soap in a bubble mailer and the soap bag wrapped with bubble wrap around the soap portion - thankfully it was all in tact after sitting in his mailbox all day. BUT the little sample I gave him I wrapped in saran wrap and put a round sticker on it to keep it all together and he told me it had all melted and the saran wrap was what at least kept it from leaking *thank goodness*. He was cool so I sent him some other samples but wrapped it up like a present using this flat sheet of cello which I'm going to use going forwrad for my samples. Not sure if this has any impact on your decisions but I thought I'd relay.
