I was playing around and used my acrylic stamps to come up with this RIP soap. Look past the colorants because I was really trying to test the technique. I'll likely use white black and a brighter orange and I used BB "Ginger Orange". Here are my questions

1. What do you think of the idea of this soap?
2. Which tag do you like better? (bat or spooky house) - my kids voted for spooky house and I just thought about if I use that I'd likely use some glitter glue to make the bats pop a bit. Or color the door or something to that effect
3. Would you sell on Etsy?
4. Would you sell at a Craft Fair?
5. How many would you make? 2, 4, 6?

Thanks
Hilary

here you go...

1. What do you think of the idea of this soap?
Love it! Great use of stamps.

2. Which tag do you like better? (bat or spooky house) - my kids voted for spooky house and I just thought about if I use that I'd likely use some glitter glue to make the bats pop a bit. Or color the door or something to that effect
House is better, but do you have a stamp with a graveyard or gravestone on it?

3. Would you sell on Etsy?
Yup, it's great for Halloween

4. Would you sell at a Craft Fair?
Yes, if before Halloween, obviously.

5. How many would you make? 2, 4, 6?
4

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm over here Halloween isn't a big deal - nothing like it is in the US. I'm not a big fan of it at all so I'm probably that last person that should comment! Love the stamp work (I need to check back into that myself) but I'm not keen on a RIP theme - but that's just me. Love the spooky house label the best too though. Sorry, I'm no help whatsoever am I?!

I like the spooky house label as well, but can you get your name on there somewhere? Like maybe up the left side... looks there would be room. Sparkly bats would just make it all that much better, I think.

Sell anywhere you can!

Way to go! Great soap, great labeling. :D

I really like them, and I am so jealous. I have been trying recently to do black and white soaps as a theme. But mine are nowhere near as nice as yours. As for the label, I guess I'm more partial to bats at Halloween. If it were me, I would reverse the colors, have a black bat on white paper.....maybe with a few smaller bats in the background. But that's just me..... Are they acrylic stamps? I noticed in Michaels the other day that Martha Stewart has some cute Halloween stamps...witches, black cats, etc.,, but those are rubber stamps. Don't know if they would work. Good job!

Thank you all so far for your feedback - I'm still willing to take more up through Sunday since I don't think I'll have time to do this until Monday. Here's where my thoughts are based on the input so far. Minus Honey (I'll assign you as an 'outlier' - :) ) - the scales are tilting to do it.

4 sounds like the right amount so I can take pics, try to sell on Etsy and for sure at the craft fair I'm doing on October 4th - someone with a good/weird sense of humor will come through for me and buy it. And it's just enough to be sure I'm not overloaded with that specific soap too close to Halloween.

I think I'll go with the house and I can put my name up the side. I have some glitter glue black and sliver to touch up the bats. I like the idea of the reversal of color on the bat suggestion though. I don't want to buy any more stamps just to try and use what I have for now (just being prudent). OR why not do both :+} stamps 2 and 2. Done!

The acrylic letter stamps I used for the RIP (which to be clear I had just gotten and were intended for scrapbooking/inking but I had not done that so they were 'fresh' and the whole stamp set maybe will remain that way and assigned to my soaping inventory) - were http://www.creativityinc.com/node/1376& ... ct_catalog

and the tutorial that assisted me was - http://soap-queen.blogspot.com/search?q=dollar+store

The house stamp came from a friend of mine and the other stamp - bat, pumpkin, spider (not shown) and cat (not shown) come from close to my heart acrylic stamp set. It's so old I could not find a link to it.

Thanks
Hilary
