I'm trying to get my packaging together for my M&P soaps. Can I include the ingredients with the order, but not directly on the package? Also, does anyone use Kraft boxes? If so, how do you keep the soaps from getting dewey? Thanks!

It's safer to add the ingredient label on the actual packaging in case of someone having allergies. For craft boxes, I would shrink wrap the soap first, so it doesn't sweat where there's humidity.

Thanks Soapbuddy!! If I wrapped the soap could I put the ingredient list on the saran wrap and then put that in the box and only put my logo sticker on the box?

That's true. I just don't want my package to look too crowded. Any other ideas?

You could make 2 labels. One for the front of the box and one for the back. Not everyone would know that the ingredient list is on the inside.

I will have to play with that to see how it looks. Thanks.

I wonder if people would be willing to post pics of their labels. I just started making soap and I do want to start making labels but I'm kind of at a loss as far as how I want them to look. I want them cute (of course) but I also want to include the ingredient list. I'd love to see some examples.

Old label; too busy and it took too much ink:

New label a lot simpler: Image

Yes, I like the new ones better. They are cleaner in feel and design. I always think simplicity is best, and easiest to read.

Labels are a big problem for me right now. Because the appearance of my soaps is so important, I've been using a matte clear. However, on some darker ones, they are too hard to read. I'm also using Avery's address labels, which are often too long for any flat surface, and don't stick if they aren't flat. I'm shopping right now, as there are too many variables to my soaps. My fault, I guess. I'm anxious also to see how you have done your labels.

we use avery full sheet labels and buy them off ebay a ton cheaper... also when finished we put contact paper over top so they dont run and are water proof for shampoos ect.. works great!!! we use kraft boxes and just put a huge label on the back with ingrediats on the side.. thats it.. very simple....as for melt and pour, wrap them first then put them in boxes or you have issues.. found that out the hard way...

If you want a program that's compatible with many Avery labels, I would go for PrintShop software.
