I will take pics next time I make one , for now I will explain it .
1. You use a log mold with a divider down the middle ( I used a thin plastic craft sheet from the $ store ) I also made cardboard spacers to help hold the craft sheet in place. I add my FO and the vanilla stabilizer to my melted oils - vanilla in FO is notorious for turning your soap brown.
2. Make your soap as usual and mix it to thin trace . Divide it in half ( I use 4 cup measuring cups ) and color 1 half or both .
3. If you have someone to hold the divider , this part will go smoother , if you don't , it can still be done . You now pour each color up and down the mold at the same rate of flow to keep the divider in place , when done , give the mold a gentle thump or 2 to get the soap level and any bubbles out . Take the cardboard spacer away if you used them.
4. Now slowly and evenly pull the divider out ( have a sheet of newspaper or something to lay it on handy) , give the mold another gentle thump or 2 .
5. With a popsicle stick or something similar , start at 1 end of the log by pushing the stick down to the bottom of the mold and pull the stick towards the other side ending with a wispy curl. I went down the log in about 1 inch increments and then pulled a little wisp out of the middle of the larger curls with a skewer . You can make more wisps as you like .
6. You can gel or ungel the soap as you normally do . When it is ready cut it and you are done .
There you go , enjoy , it is a lot of fun to make this one :D

Brilliant! I am off to Michael's craft store TODAY to find a divider. And I need to find another daughter who will actually help me (vs the one I have).

Kitn, your soaps are so fantastic looking. How do you get the soaps so shiny? Mine always look a little dull.
