For goats milk soap you just swap out some or all the water in your recipe for the goats milk. But read about how to do that without your soap turning orange from burning the milk with the lye. About.com David Fisher has recipes for all sorts of cool soaps including goats milk,
beer, carrot juice ,cucumber soap ,you get the idea.

I have been experimenting with goatsmilk after seeing David Fischer's about.com and for me, I had more consistent success with the goatsmilk powder than I had with fresh or evap because I seemed to get curdle on at least some part of those soaps. So if you are new to this, you may want to experiment with the powder before you try the real stuff. Just a thought anyways. I started to get really tired of having curdled experiments I had to throw out!

I use the powdered goats milk too just beacuse it will keep a very long time. I mix it double strength with half the water in my recipe . The other half I mix with lye. Then I add it to the soap pot (after) I put in the lye water with the oils and blend it all together. Wegmans has organic goats milk powder.

If the instructions on the goats milk pkg. say to mix 1oz. with 8 oz. of water, I mix it with 4oz. That way I've only taken 4 oz. of water away from what should have gone into the lye. I don't change the amount of water in my recipe ,I just divert some. And make sure you give it time to disolve, I don't use cold water for the GM. If It dosen't all disolve you'll see it in the finished soap. But I've never had any curdle this way.
I add this after I mix the lye water with my oils. Never had any problem with it turning orange.

I mix with some of the base oils and it works out great--as long as I make sure it is a thin paste. I add this back at trace.

If you choose to use fresh goatsmilk instead of water in your recipe, the key is to freeze the goatmilk, pound it into cubes, sprinkle the lye on the cubes and stir stir stir ----- then add to your room temp oils/butters that have been all melted together----you get white soap that way and I have never had "curdled" milk with this method. This is the only soap I have ever made..... I love the soap and because I have over 40 Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goats, I've had access to plenty of milk!

I use powdered as well and have no problems but I do want to start using fresh goat's milk.

I echo that - I use full fat goat milk powder, and I actually mix it with oil - leave a bit of oil for the end, quickly whisk the gm powder in it and mix back with the soap (after lye has been added). No discoloration, no stink - LOVE it. I couldn't find evaporated gm here, so the powder was the way to go for me. I can't be bothered with the hassle of freezing milk in chunks, and the time it takes to incorporate the lye, and the smell. Nope. not for me.
