I have fingerprints on a bar of soap. How do I get M&P soap all shiny, pretty perfect?

You can give it a spray with alcohol, I think that works best.

I have heard of people rubbing CP soap with nylons to get it to shine... this may work on white MP... not sure.

I tried the nylons tonight. I laughed the whole time because I was trying so hard to make it work. It obviously wasn't working. But I was in major denial.

I tried bunching up the nylons.
I tried wearing the nylons on my hands.
When I asked myself if I needed Control Top... I gave up.

Did you try the alcohol?

I suggest using a little water and smoothing out the fingerprints with your finger, then just letting it dry.

The best way to get a super glossy finish on soaps is to use a super glossy mold. Even silicone pans come in matte or shiny surfaces, so keep that in mind when you're shopping for them.

Yes the shiny silicone moulds are excellent - I didn't know you could get them til I got one and I just think they're wonderful... you cannot beat the finish they give.

I think I need to try wearing gloves, too. I think maybe I am a freak of nature and have really defined fingerprints.
