Looks good & welcome jaijai71!
You don't really need a wood mold to make MP. Most plastic "items" can be turned into molds.

ty sandbar and soapbuddy

i knew i didn't need the wood mold, i just convinced my husband i did, so he would make me one :D .

i have a bunch of molds i got on ebay, some really nice sturdy ones.

i wanna eventually try cold process. so then i will already have a mold.

I am loving the new soaps! The lime one is so zingy and the pink giraffe's/piggies are so cute! The orca one I could not do so many congrats on that!

Thanks for the compliments on my swirled soaps - hubby adored the Earl Grey Tea one (has demanded more!) and I brought the Double Chocolate one on holidays with us and used my Double Chocolate Body Cream with it and smelt like a chocolate shop all day (not a bad thing at all!!!).

I've not made soap in 3 weeks now so cannot wait til the weekend and I can dive right back in!!!!

Hi everyone! We're new to the forum and we're super excited to be on here!

here's our Whimsical Olive oil soap. It's for our etsy SAFE team challenge "If I were a bar of soap"
We used four different unique techniques. On the top is colored sugar, hand curled soap, in the middle there is a yellow/gold and blue swirl, and on the bottom are cubes of purple and green soap embedded in clear olive oil soap. Each layer is seperated by a thin black layer of soap.

Wow! So great. I tried whipping my M&P, but I'm not having any luck getting it to harden. :(

I used the BB yarn mold for the first time yesterday. Happy with the results.

Fantastic soaps - what do you use to do your swirls? (spoon or whatever).

Loving the knitted wool ones too!!!

Honey:
It's a double pour method, I don't use any spoons, I just pour it.

Ah, very effective, I love it. I was wondering how you got that "chunky" swirl but the double pour makes sense!
