Teach Soap

Hi there-

I have a dopey question, but I'm curious if there is a way to keep this from happening.

I've been experimenting with colors and have used discoloring fragrances in my soap. The color doesn't stain a washcloth, but when the soap gets wet and sticks to the soapdish, it leaves behind soap colored residue. With my soap that discolored becuase of the vanilla content, it rinses brown.

You could try a vanilla stabilizer, but it doesn't always work.

To solve my colorant problem, I'm thinking about using colors just on the top-half of my soap, so the colored part won't stick to the tub if left in water.

I don't let my soap sit in water it's gross, but people I've given my soap to do.
