Hi. In my other post I received great feedback on holiday fragrances and getting a good list narrowed down. Shiffting slighlty to Hallloween - I'm curious to know if anyone has used or has thoughts on
Candy Corn or Licorice fragrance oil? And if so a suggested supplier?

Thanks

I've got Star Anise EO from BB, and while I haven't tried it yet, Spotted Cat gave me a bar of hers w/that EO and it is *definately* licorice! :D I'd say go for it!

A while back, wasn't there a tutorial on the Soap Queen Blog about candy corn soaps? I wonder what fragrance(s) they used??

Thanks for the tip on Star Anise EO. I checked the Candy Corn tutorial and it mentions buttercream which I could not find on the BB site. The only one I found was Cream Cheese. I wonder if that is the same/similar? I found Candy Corn on Wellington Fragrance Company, Soap Wizards. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Hmmm, no Buttercream?? I don't do a lot of M&P anymore, but I imagine that many of the vanilla-based fragrances would discolor a bit, even in M&P. So, if you were planning on having the "tip" of your candy corn white, perhaps a non-coloring vanilla or a vanilla stabilizer would be helpful.

Wellington does offer sample sizes, so perhaps you could check out the Candy Corn. I have been pleased with Wellington fragrances, for M&P at least. Some of their fragrances have caused problems in CP for me.

Based on the beautiful soaps I've seen on your Etsy store, I bet your Candy Corn soap is going to look great!
