I came across a cool stainless steel canape mold that I used as a cutter for a finished embedded soap. Now I am wondering if I can just pour raw soap in it and refridgerate/freeze this (it is like pvc tube shape) for the embed as my cutting skills are really lousy.

Any thoughts?

If it's true stainless steel it might work. I would brush the inside with some mineral oil or a light coating of petroletum to help get the soap out.

Okay, I will give it a whirl -- already had coated with petroleum so good there!

Then I will cp this. Non gell, wait 24 hours, unmold.

Then make another batch and CPOP that.

If this works, ladies, we take on the M&P'ers!

If a magnet sticks to it , it is stainless . Magnets sometimes won't stick to SS fridges etc , but will to a stainless pot.

Box it came in says stainless, so who am I to judge? Wish I had a magnet here!

Went on website. . not stainless but tin. . delete! They have other stainless products, but apparently not this one. Back to using as a cutter.
